Finance & Admin Manager

Proforest is seeking an experienced Finance and Admin Manager to lead on the financial management and daily office operations of its Indonesian Office.

Position summary

This position is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility of providing effective day-to-day administrative and financial management within a busy and fast growing organisation. Based in Jakarta, the post will involve management of finance, office administration and provision of human resource and IT support. The position will report to Country Directors and work closely with the Finance and Operations team of the regional office based in Kuala Lumpur.




  • Responsible for the day to day transaction processing of the Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledger and the Project module of SAGE 50 Accounting to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the accounting records
  • Processing staff expense claims after review
  • Managing banking, petty cash and cash travel advances for staff
  • Participating actively in office budget planning, reporting and reviewing
  • Supporting project managers with project/programme budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, financial monitoring and reporting
  • Handling the staff payroll and various tax matters for company and staff
  • Leading the year-end audit preparation and coordinating statutory reporting

The Proforest Malaysia and Proforest UK Group Finance team will provide guidance and support.


  • Ensuring that the office complies with relevant health and safety requirements and is maintained in good order to provide a productive working environment
  • Managing general communications, printing system, supply of stationery and other office supplies
  • Being the focal point for liaison with Group IT manager
  • Providing administrative and logistical support to the technical team in travel arrangements and organizing events
  • Managing relevant government permits and their renewal
  • Supporting HR management including recruitment, induction and arranging insurance
  • Providing administrative support, where relevant, in identifying and securing a suitable location for the office premise, and liaising with property agents
  • Being responsible for office asset and facility management, including maintaining inventory of assets and dealing with facility services provider/ building management
  • Carrying out other tasks that can be reasonably expected from this role

Essential Qualifications, Experience, Skills

  • An Indonesian national or meet legal requirements to work on a full-time basis in Indonesia
  • Accounting degree or Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA (or any other recognized global accounting body) and actively pursuing professional qualification
  • At least 3 years Finance experience, accounting and/or reporting
  • Experience in managing payroll, tax matters and liaising with the Indonesian tax authority
  • Demonstrable basic Excel skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
  • Motivated team player with good interpersonal skills and strong desire to support the team in meeting organizational objectives
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to resolve problem and queries quickly and efficiently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia


A gross monthly salary of between IDR 22,000,000 and IDR 25,000,000
